What We Do

  • Website Design & Development

Websites shaped around your goals and built on the technology that serves them: a static site, a CMS, an e-commerce platform, or something written from scratch. We have built them all over twenty years, which is what makes that judgment worth something.

    • The technology chosen to fit your situation
    • Running and maintenance costs made clear from the start
    • Documented, transparent, and portable; no lock-in

  • Custom Software Development

When the spreadsheet stops coping, or the software you already pay for does everything except the one thing you need, we build the missing part. That runs from a few hundred lines of glue to a manufacturer's entire order pipeline.

    • Built around how your organization actually works
    • Battle-tested technology, still supportable in five years
    • AI used with a human in the loop, so a smaller budget reaches further
    • Source, documentation, and the freedom to take it elsewhere

  • Technology Strategy & Advice

We have worked in organizations with too much process and with too little, and we know both modes of failure. We learn your goals and how your business actually runs, then find the fix: sometimes something you already own, sometimes off the shelf, sometimes built new.

    • A written plan, with each option costed
    • Priorities ranked, so you can start small
    • An honest answer, including when it is to change nothing
    • Yours to act on, with us or without us

Process

How We Do It

  1. We talk

It starts with a conversation, the way our ancestors did. You explain the problem and what you hope to accomplish. No pitch deck, no discovery fee, just talking shop.

    Outcome Understanding

  2. We scope it

Once we understand each other, you get a project plan: what is included, what is not, and what hosting and maintenance will cost. We both agree before work starts.

    Outcome Project Plan

  3. We build it

With the plan agreed, we go do the thing. We work iteratively, so you see progress as we go, and you work directly with the person writing the code.

    Outcome Solution

  4. We iterate it

This kind of work is rarely finished. You will want to refine it, so we keep the project in a shape that is easy to change, and each round starts the conversation again.

What It Costs

$100 /hour

Every project starts with a conversation about what you are trying to accomplish and what it will take to get there. Once the scope is clear, we will put together an estimate. No packages, no tiers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a project cost?
Our rate is $100 per hour. Project estimates are available after a conversation about your scope and specifications.
How long does a project take?
It depends on scope, and we would rather not guess at yours before we understand it. Once we have talked through what you need, you get a timeline alongside your project estimate. A real date after understanding the work beats a reassuring one before it.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance and support?
Yes. Static sites need far less upkeep than a WordPress install: no plugins to patch, no database to secure. Content updates, new features, and dependency upgrades still come up, and those are billed at the same $100 per hour.
Do you work with WordPress, or migrate sites off it?
Both. We have delivered dozens of WordPress sites, and it is genuinely the right tool for some projects. We will recommend it when it fits, along with a plain account of what it costs to run: updates, ongoing maintenance, and the cleanup if it is ever compromised. When a site has become more burden than asset, moving off is a different conversation. brianreich.dev was an old WordPress blog before it became a static site, and the same path works elsewhere.
Do you work with clients outside Pennsylvania?
Yes. We work primarily remote and are glad to work with anyone whose needs we can meet.
What do you need from me to get started?
A conversation. Tell us what you are trying to accomplish, what is not working now, and any hard constraints: budget, deadline, systems we would need to integrate with. From there we can scope the work and get you an estimate. If you already have designs, content, or a spec, bring those along, but none of it is required to start talking.
