Is it really custom, or a dressed-up template?
+ –
Custom. We start from a library of reusable, battle-tested components, but your discovery answers drive which ones we use and how they're styled — branding, color, type, and layout are shaped around you. The component library is how we hit quality fast; it's not a one-size-fits-all theme.
Do you use AI to build these sites?
+ –
Strategically, yes — and that's different from a "vibe-coded" DIY site. We use AI to automate the drudgery of development, which is exactly what makes the one-day timeline possible. But AI builds the foundation; decades of industry expertise shape it into something fast, secure, accessible, and built to convert. That combination is why our sites don't look or perform like the generic, bloated results a from-scratch AI builder tends to produce.
Can I update the site myself after launch?
+ –
No — a One-Day Website is a static site, not a content management system, so it isn't built for hands-on self-editing. Once you're live, updates go through us: pay-as-you-go hourly support for occasional changes, or a monthly support package if you want ongoing priority support. If you know you'll want to edit your own content regularly, a standard website design project is probably a better fit for you — we can scope that on the free consultation instead.
What do you need from me?
+ –
Your content and assets ready before build day — copy, logo, brand colors and fonts if you have them, images, and examples of sites you love. The intake walks you through exactly what to gather. Unprepared content is the one thing that can hold a one-day build back, so we front-load it deliberately.
What are the rules for Build Day?
+ –
A few, to keep the day honest: all feedback goes through our project portal so nothing gets lost, and it's due by 3:00 PM so there is time to finalize, test, and launch by 5:00 PM. We stick to the scope we agreed on during your free consultation — anything outside that scope gets logged as a Change Request for after launch, rather than derailing the day.
What if my project needs more than a day?
+ –
We'll tell you on the free consultation. Larger sites simply run as a multi-day engagement, priced up front. We'd rather scope it honestly than cram it into a day and cut corners.
What if I need more than 5 pages?
+ –
We build the foundation for your success, and if your project needs more room to do that, we charge a flat $300 per extra page — so every page maintains the same high standard of design and performance as the base 5.
Can you replace my existing website?
+ –
Yes. Replacing an existing site starts with a Pre-Flight Check — a flat $500 fee that covers indexing your current site, configuring redirects to protect your SEO, and updating DNS to point to your new hosting. It doesn't include migrating email hosting, and extra pages beyond the 5-page base are still billed at the standard per-page rate. We confirm the final scope and cost during the Pre-Flight Check and free consultation.
How does payment work?
+ –
A 50% deposit secures your build slot and unlocks Discovery, our structured intake process. That deposit is non-refundable once Discovery begins — it's a mutual commitment that lets us reserve real time on our calendar for your project. The remaining 50% is due once your site is fully refined and ready to launch.
What does "95–100 Lighthouse" and "WCAG 2.1 AA" actually mean for me?
+ –
Lighthouse is Google's own site-quality audit — high scores mean your site is fast, technically sound, and search-friendly. WCAG 2.1 AA is the widely referenced accessibility standard, so your site works for people using screen readers, keyboards, and assistive tech. We verify both with automated and manual checks before launch.
Who owns and hosts the site?
+ –
You own the code — we host the site for you on our CDN. If you ever want to leave, you can take your code with you at any time; just ask, and we'll hand over a ZIP of the complete site. No lock-in.
