Why We Build Our Own Products

Most web agencies only build what clients pay them to build. That's fine — we do that too. But at CCG Labs, we also carve out time to build our own ideas. Tools, utilities, and products that we think should exist in the world.

Building our own products keeps our skills sharp, lets us experiment with new technologies before recommending them to clients, and occasionally produces something genuinely useful that we can share. It's also where the "Labs" in CCG Labs comes from — this is our laboratory.

Our in-house product work is driven by the same values that guide our client work: simplicity, pragmatism, and a preference for solutions with a lower environmental and financial footprint.

What This Means for You

When you hire CCG Labs, you're not hiring an agency that only writes code when a client is paying for it. You're hiring people who write code because they love building things. That difference shows up in the quality of the work, the depth of the technical conversations, and the creative problem-solving we bring to every project.

Our product work also means we eat our own cooking. The same frameworks, deployment pipelines, and development practices we use for clients are the ones we rely on for our own products. If something doesn't work well, we find out first — not you.

Got an Idea?

Whether it's a product you want to build together or a project you need help with, we're always interested in hearing from people who want to make something great.
